ate Mitali Barua, in memory of whom this Trust is being created, was an accomplished 3D Animator from Guwahati. Born in 1978, Mitali had demonstrated a very close affinity and interest towards art for her early childhood days. She completed her schooling from DAV School, Guwahati and then joined the prestigious Cotton College, Guwahati for her Higher Secondary studies. All throughout, she had participated and won in many art competitions at school level.
She then went to Delhi for her higher education and joined Delhi College of Art in New Delhi, which was to become her revered alma mater for the next 4 years. Her years at the Delhi College of Art were (in her words) some of her best years of life. She joined this prestigious institute in 1998 and spent the next few years of her life in a beautiful world of creative pursuits. She, there, rediscovered the artist in herself, and immersed herself whole heartedly in learning and experimenting with various styles and techniques of art in its' various forms.
To take her love for art further, she joined a course in 3D Animation at the Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics in Delhi after graduating from the Delhi College of Art. At the Academy she earned expertise in the finer nuances of this (then) new, exciting, and highly technical subject.
She started her career as an Animator in GH Grafix, a firm in Delhi and was involved in a number of prestigious 3D Projects. She then went on to join Image, a multimedia training institute at Guwahati as a Trainer. Along with her students, she had designed and directed a number of projects in animation and had earned a name for herself and her Institute in this field.
A creative genius in the making, Mitali always strived for perfection and encouraged creativity in her students; she wanted them to be the best in this field. This Trust is a tribute to her dedication and sincerity towards art and the life that she had devoted to it.
